The Raj Kumar Savara Memorial Scholarship

The Raj Kumar Savara Memorial Scholarshipwas established in September 2009, by Rahul and Rajiv Savara, in memory of their father, Mr. Raj Kumar Savara. It is made in remembrance and everlasting gratitude towards their late father, Raj Kumar Savara, who taught the very important principle of “never regretting buying or selling a Work of Art, but only regretting in not having the courage to own it in the first place.” Raj Kumar Savara maintained a zeal for collecting fine arts during his life time. He passed this love on to his elder son, Rajiv.

The scholarship shall be awarded to a full-time Lincoln University student(s) who has expressed an interest in the pursuit of a career or advanced education in the Fine Arts and who is a participant of the Lincoln-Barnes Visual Arts Center of Excellence in the applicable curriculum. It shall be awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial need. The scholarship is renewable.
